Where are the biggest and most beautiful diamonds found? Under COAL. Protected from people and the world. Just like that our hijab protects us. It protects us from certain people in our society. It protects our beauty and our dignity. It veils us from the evil eyes of our society. Women and girls should consider them lucky to be protected by the hijab.

I was some place I can’t remember but this lady asked if I knew english and what was my name. I answered back fluently in my Canadian accent and surprised her. I really dislike  people who think all hijabies are uneducated and caged. For some reason they find us unliberated and uneducated. People don’t know a lot about who we really are and I think it’s up to us to educate these people about who we are and why we behave this way. You can do your part too. When anyone asks you why you wear a hijab don’t just say it’s religious headcovering, tell them why we wear it. I remember my friend asking me that question and here’s what I decided to tell her…..

” I wear it because it symbolizes me as a muslim, and protect me from the evil eyes of certain people around me. I wear it because I want people to like me for who I am and what I am capable of. Not what I dress like and look like.”

 A lot of my non-muslim friends encourage me not to wear it and that I look prettier without it but I always tell them who I am and what I believe. I also tell them it’s my choice and  that I believe in modest dressing.

The reason I havn’t been bloging is that my computer had totally gone bust. So, it took me a while to  get it fixed. So the other day my friends were totally out to lunch and I was alone at lunch so I decided to hang out with the local hijabies. They are very friendly but only talk about one topic 24/7. BOYS, and their past affairs with guys they knew. I’m not attacking them personally or anything but they are very boy crazed. They have pictures of guys in their cellphones and talk about guys they know, that are half across the world! Like go get out more and do some good to yourself! Instead of wasting their time they could be doing better in school, and at home. Ofcourse when mommmy and daddy are asked about their daughter they boast that she is so smart and decent. Little do they know what their little girls are up to. I’m not saying every hijabi is like this but their are some that are.  =)
